Where Can You Donate to Help Puerto Rico?

These Disaster Relief and Nonprofit Organizations in Puerto Rico Need Your Help

Make a Contribution to Support Puerto Ricans Today!

***Atlantic hurricane season starts on June 1 and will run until Nov. 30. ***

Hurricane Fiona hit Puerto Rico as a category 1 and left the island in the dark (once again!) and without water.

The U.S. Citizens in Puerto Rico were still suffering after the devastation of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, a series of brutal earthquakes, Covid-19, and now Hurricane Fiona. After these horrible catastrophes – where 3.5 million U.S. citizens live and work – Puerto Rico is struggling to recover and we need your help.

We face daily power outages and water rationing, as well as limited access to clean water. Thousands of people still have blue tarps on their home, and many lost their homes altogether from the earthquakes. Many senior citizens are left alone, without services and care they need.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Below is a list of the many organizations on the island helping to rebuild Puerto Rico. These are reputable organizations who are not affiliated with the government of Puerto Rico.

In addition, Together Puerto Rico accepts donations by mail-in check or directly through GoFundMe.

Our main mission is to distribute water filters and solar lights to the hardest hit areas. Many people do not have electricity, face regular blackouts and buy bottled water instead of using a filter.

Below is a compilation of organizations, large and small that you can lend a hand to who are making a big difference in Puerto Rico. This is by no means a complete list. If you would like your organization included on this website, send us an email.

Ricky Martin Foundation

Puerto Rico has been devastated by Hurricane Maria, and the island desperately need us. This is a humanitarian crisis affecting 3.5 million people. The power grid is destroyed, food and water are in short supply and we all need to work together now. For this reason, I created this page to collect funds and my donation of $100,000 is already in, as well as the generous donations from the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation and many others.

The Ricky Martin Foundation team on the ground is already working with the local government, local volunteers and the First Lady of Puerto Rico to provide urgently needed food, water, clothing and medical supplies. For the longterm, we’ll partner with Habitat for Humanity once rebuilding is able to start, just like we did after the tsunami in Thailand and the earthquake in Haiti.
